Closure of the I-95 Southbound Exit 43 Off-Ramp in West Haven

CTDOT is announcing that Drainage and Utility work will occur on the Exit 43 Off-Ramp

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing drainage and utility work on the I-95 Southbound Exit 43 off-ramp. Periodic nightly ramp closures will be required to complete the work safely.

The work is scheduled to begin Tuesday night, July 7, 2026 and will be completed Thursday night, July 16, 2026. The exit will not be closed on Friday or Saturday night’s for construction activities.

LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO

The anticipated lane closure will run nightly from 9:00pm – 5:00am, Sunday night through Thursday night. A map of the detour routes is available for download from the project website at www.i95westhaven.com/traffic-detour-information.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
